The Jolly Side of the Force

As I post this blog entry the new movie in the Star War franchise entitled “Episode VIII: The Last Jedi” will be in theaters and a ton of people will flock to watch it generating billions of dollars for the Disney corporation since they literally own everything. Its funny because the last couple of Star Wars movies were debut to the public around the holiday seasons mainly because its a time where Star Wars can give everyone that good time feeling on Christmas… but that wasn’t always the case.

Back in the late 70s after the surprise hit of the very first Star Wars movie hit the movie screens and people’s hearts the creator and director George Lucas was feeling himself a little bit too much and with the networks decided that the world needed a Christmas time movie special starring the cast of Star Wars…. and thus the legendary “Star Wars: Holiday Special” was created…. but it’s legendary for the wrong reasons. This holiday special was one of the worst things ever created (which is why I always laugh when people complain about the Star Wars prequel movies but I digress).

Even George Lucas himself hates this special and tried his damnest to bury all copies and memories of this film…. unfortunately for George a thing called the internet was created and made sure that this holiday special will be preserved in history for anyone to see. I will say that one good thing came out of this pile of bullshit… the holiday special was the debut of one of the greatest characters in movie history…. the bounty hunter Boba Fett and for that reason alone I decided to post the special on this site for all to see and kinda enjoy during this holiday season.
